For the most up-to-date information, please watch channels 2 (WKRN), 4 (WSMV), and 5 (WLAC) as early as 6:00 a.m., as well as 5:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m., and 10:00 p.m.  We will also send out an e-blast out via the listserv. You can also call WDS voicemail at 383-0886, ext. 17 or 18, or 383-0832, ext. 17 or 18, to receive the latest changes on the closing and opening of the school. 

We do not follow the Metro School System, so please follow these policies to get accurate information.  The WDS opens at 7:30 a.m. each day; thus, if the notice says “Open - 2 hours late,” we will be open at 9:30 a.m.  Opening late is based on a 7:30 a.m., not 9:00 a.m., school day.
